Silverlake Vineyard to host music fest

23 Jan 2012

Pattaya’s popular Silverlake Vineyard is the venue for an extravagant music fest this coming Saturday. The Silverlake Music Festival 2012 will offer music lovers two outdoor stages with American rock band Incubus headlining on the main stage to provide a grand finale.

Incubus will be performing the one date in Thailand before heading off to New Zealand and Australia. They are scheduled to play from 23:30 to 01:00. Preceding bands on the main stage, or Earth Stage as organisers have christened it, are Owl City, Anti Flag, Akira Jimbo, T-Bone, Slot Machine and Scrubb.

The Earth Stage has an audience capacity of 30,000, while the second Solar Stage can accommodate 8,000 music fans. The line up on the Solar Stage begins with Stamp at 13:45. Following acts playing diverse musical genres include 25 Hours, Mild, Singular, Silly Fools, Franko and Joey Boy.

Solar Stage entertainment is set to wind up at 03:00 on Sunday morning with select DJs spinning tunes for late-night revellers to boogie to.

The Silverlake Music Festival promises to be a great occasion with the added bonus of being staged in a setting with a backdrop of the stunning Khao Chi Chan mountain and verdant vistas. For Incubus fans it is a rare opportunity to see the band play live as they have only just returned from a five-year hiatus.

Gates open at midday on Saturday and ticket prices are 1,500 Baht for this debut Pattaya music festival. Additional details are available at http://www.silverlakemusicfestival.com/en/index.html.
