All guests and patrons at the Pattaya Hilton have to do is spend 3,000 Baht, or more, on meals or spa treatments and their names are automatically entered into the draw.

One of Pattaya’s principal hotels is staging an ice-cream extravaganza to alleviate the heat of the summer season for guests and gourmands. The proprietors of the international Elements Restaurant at the Sheraton Pattaya Resort are holding the ice-cream feast for the whole of the month of May.

An Indian newspaper has added its own warning to the many already issued about the perils of renting a jet-ski in Pattaya. The Bangalore Mirror warned compatriots that although the resort seemed like paradise, jet-ski operators were only intent in scamming innocent people.

A Briton working as an English teacher was nabbed in a sting operation by undercover Pattaya police officers yesterday morning. The operatives say they had arranged to buy some crystal methamphetamine from Steven Palmer and once the deal went through, he was arrested.

Pattaya attempts to eradicate mosquitoes

Pattaya city council has started a war on mosquitoes and hopes to completely banish the carriers of malaria and dengue fever from the city. The campaign began on 22 March when council workers sprayed the tourist precinct around Bali Hai Pier and Walking Street with insecticides.
