Escort-friendly hotels in Pattaya

You'll find plenty of obliging hotels in Pattaya
Thailand’s nightlife capital is known around the world for its beautiful, often ‘available’ women, and each night the go-go bars and beer bars are flush with punters hoping to find a fun-loving companion for the evening.
Many hotels in Pattaya allow patrons to bring ‘unregistered’ guests back to their room though policies vary from place to place. For the uninitiated, the unspoken social rules of Pattaya can be confusing so here are a few tips for those planning to bring a bar girl back.
Discretion is the operative word, and in most cases hotel management will obligingly look the other way if you saunter in after hours with a new friend. But there are a few hotels out there that, for whatever reason, don’t condone this kind of behaviour. More often than not, hotels like these cater to package tourists and don’t usually land on the lone traveller’s radar. Others will shamelessly try and charge you more for the extra person.
The classier hotels will be upfront with you, issuing a discreet warning card with the check-in materials. The card indicates the hotel’s ‘additional person’ policy and makes note of the fine, which may be as much as 1,000 baht (but usually isn’t more than 200 to 300 baht). This is usually to discourage the practice. While some are so exclusive and expensive that they let you do whatever you please, as long as you are discreet.
Other hotels may try to stick you with a ‘guest fee’ or ‘joiner fee’ at check-out. If there was no prior warning, you shouldn’t have to pay. Politely refuse and the hotel staff are likely to let it slide. Just beware of the fine print you may have missed, and don’t forget to smile!
But most of the time, hotels have no qualms about unregistered visitors, especially south of town on Walking Street or in the Jomtien Beach area. This is Pattaya after all, and sex is the driving force behind local tourism. The last thing most hotel managers want is to alienate potential guests with a strict house policy.
It’s worth mentioning that hotel policy on visiting guests isn’t necessarily a litmus test for sleaziness. On the contrary, there are numerous upmarket establishments that don’t mind discreet visitors. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are a few budget dives that would just as soon distance themselves from this sort of activity.

Many hotels have an unregistered guest policy
It also helps to remember that a bar girl is a professional. She knows the score in Pattaya, and this probably isn’t her first night staying in your hotel. Every establishment should insist that your visiting guest leave her ID card with the front desk. This is a safety measure for your benefit, and any well-intentioned escort will gladly oblige.
Most of Pattaya’s bar girls are sweet and fun-loving, but there are a few scammers out there looking to get rich off unsuspecting tourists. With your visitor’s ID card at the front desk, you can rest knowing she’ll think twice before trying anything underhanded.
Finally, if you’re unsure where you hotel stands you can always ask the front desk. You don’t have to be explicit. Just ask about the unregistered guest policy. They’ll understand the question, and you won’t be the first to have asked. This is the only sure-fire way to eliminate any surprise charges at check-out.
Otherwise, it pays to do your homework. This can be cumbersome and a little awkward for tourists so to make things easier here is a list of hotels that don’t levy guest or joiner fees. Specific policies vary from one hotel to the next. See full bookable list of such hotels.
